Android Vs Apple iOS

The Android Vs Apple debate has been raging on for a long time now and it was never this big. For long Apple had been the reigning king of smartphones. Whether it be the simplistic yet beautiful hardware or their efficient software, Apple left most of its competition far behind. But, that was certainly pinching Google. So, as we all know, led to the evolution of Android. The mighty OS which has risen in popularity far surpassing many of the big fish and proving to be a strong competitor to Apple and has resulted in a virtual war of Android Vs Apple iOS.

Most people these days while buying a smartphone are confused between this Android Vs Apple scenario. I have seen people inside stores bugging the sales guys asking whether to go for Apple or Android and hence giving more flame to the Android Vs Apple. Most of you must have gone through the graphs that depict how Android is gaining its market share and Apple has nowhere to go but down. Well, it's all true folks. Recent official trends do suggest that although Apple is holding quite a big chunk of the market share but in a few years it could be quite the opposite. Most of the reasons that are cited for such rapid growth of Android are very obvious to say the least. Whether it be open source OS, a vast majority of app developers, cell-phone manufacturers providing free hardware and what not. Everything, in the raging war of apple vs android seems to be going in Android's way!

Let us take a closer look at who is winning at the waging war of Android Vs Apple:

1. Proprietary Vs Open Source OS
Apple governs its own rights on its iOS. This has proved to be a boon for Google's Android. The Android is free and open source which means any one can have a look and alter its code. This has resulted in a massive proportion of the population of application coders to either opt or switch to Android.

So, In the war of Android Vs Apple - Advantage Android

2. The Apps
Though Google claims that its Android Market is enormously expanding and what not but the reality is that presently it stands nowhere near the Apple's App Store. Also, personally I would like to point out that the most popular of Android apps are actually already famous on the iOS and hence are transported to another platform. I don't think there is any app that was transported from Android to Apple because of its popularity.

So, In the war of Android Vs Apple - Advantage Apple

3. The Hardware
I personally am a fan of Apple's hardware. The way they manage to simplify design and bring about elegance in every device is an achievement in itself. But they have also kept their prices quite higher than a normal user like me would like to see. So, here comes the Android, with companies like LG and Samsung literally providing free hardware to anyone who's interested. And if you are willing to spend a little more you could probably be holding a device that can cause the geniuses at Apple to drool!

So, In the war of Android Vs Apple - Advantage Android

4. App Developers
This is another crucial factor. The Apple app developers are having a hard time uploading their apps on the app store as they have to go through all the checks and what not. On the other hand, Google has declared that Android developers are free to post their apps on Android Market. Hence more and better apps are on the way for Android users.

4 Smart [and Free] Programs For Your Computer

One of the fun parts of owning a computer is, of course, access to the internet. The worldwide web is chock full of useful information, readily available at your fingertips! It is also home to potentially lethal viruses, many of which can wreak havoc on your system within moments. The following four programs can help you avoid trouble; best of all they are absolutely free.

Firefox– a web browser for the ages. Okay, a web browser that beats <i>Internet Explorer</i> by preventing pop ups and harmful scripts from being downloaded to your computer. Lots of nifty features too, including tabbed browsing, live bookmarks, and tons of add-on features.

Spybot Search and Destroy – gets rid of adware, spyware, and malware. Blocks the installation of spyware before it occurs; works in conjunction with anti-virus software, not as a replacement for one.

AVG Antvirus – offers basic antivirus protection including scanning email attachments for viruses and scanning of all hard drives, removable drives, and external drives on your computer. A paid version does some additional tasks and includes technical support.

Zone Alarm– if you don’t have a firewall installed on your computer, you are opening yourself up to potential catastrophic security breaches. With Stealth Mode enabled you can search the internet in private, away from the intruding eyes of those who might want to steal your important information.

As with many freeware programs, “pro” or professional versions of the software are sometimes available to give computer users a maximum amount of protection, for a price. Still, all four of these programs have something to offer and are worth exploring. Your computer safety and privacy is essential, insure it today by downloading the programs that are right for you.
